Bet its time for holiday! Not the stereo type that puts you on a double decker bus for a typical city tour with your camera dangling off your neck, but rather an out of the ordinary challenging experience that purifies your soul and puts your dare-full spirit to the test, one that you can look at the photos one day and say…. Yes I did it!
We put you on a 7 days experience on a powerful 2 wheelers and roam you around on a long trip to the most exotic places; we have you hitting the road on the land of wonders… India!
A group of foreign bikers will work as a team, live as a family and together explore the land of wonders, a journey of more than 1000 km that starts form Delhi and ends in Mumbai.
Trip dates: September 3rd till September 10th, 2020
Group size: we believe that the maximum of 10-12 bikers is the acceptable and manageable group size, such group size will be easy to accommodate in hotels, and easier to get together and get along.
Requirements: you will need to have an international driving license for two wheelers, a visit visa to India for the minimum of one week, a bike riding experience and an adventures sprit!
Bikes: We will provide you with a manual 4 gears Royal Enfield (one motorbike for each biker) the bike will be either 350cc or 500cc depending on the availability, the model will likely to be 2005-2010 and the mechanical condition is guaranteed to be great, all bikes are checked before it is handed to you.
Gear and equipment: We have a check list for all items you will need to carry with you on this trip, we will provide you with a motorbike Helmet and the bungee ropes to tie up your gear to the bike, you will still have to bring many items with you such as the rain coat, sun glasses, first aid kit, gloves…etc, once the group is decided, we will have a briefing session and take you through the whole trip, safety tips, communication codes, route, bikes, traffic, speed…etc
Road & Safety: As you can imagine, the scenery on the way will be heaven like! Yet the road itself at times, especially around big cities is somewhat congested and driving could be challenging, it is particularly so if you have never driven on the left side of the road or you have little biking experience. In addition to the briefings and tips we will provide you with, you will always be accompanied with your guide who will be of assistance in case help and support are required.
Weather: India is a vast country and the weather differs substantially between north and south, as our trip will be in September and will start from North, it is likely that the weather will be acceptable and somewhat hot, scatters of rain are expected as we start approaching Mumbai, global warming has made it hard to speculate the weather yet we estimate that the trip is well timed.
Flight: We will provide you with 2 tickets, one way ticket from (Dubai or Sharjah or Abu Dhabi) to Delhi and another ticket from Mumbai back to (Dubai or Sharjah or Abu Dhabi), we will provide you with an airport pick up upon your arrival to Delhi and a drop off to Mumbai airport, we will however not provide you with a pick up from your home in the UAE neither a drive back to your home once you arrive to the UAE, the air ticket is on any carrier we book you at depending on the availability and for economy seat, we may be able to entertain your preference in terms of seating arrangements and your choice of food, these are again subject to availability.
Sleeping: We will provide you with an accommodation throughout your 7 days trip, on our way we will pass by many hotels and road side motels, it will be particularly difficult to ensure that the booking is confirmed prior to hitting the road as some of us may be beginners and may not be as comfortable as others on the bike, hence we will have to slow down for them to catch up and subsequently we may be at times behind (or even ahead) our schedule, we may like to stay back in some places we like or skip staying at places that we don’t, hence our choice of hotels will be from whatever comes up during our trip, we will be however as much as possible selective in choosing an appropriate accommodation for you, I have been myself to many of the road side hotels and they are generally acceptable, clean and have separate bathrooms, shower facility and TV, some even had room service and a swimming pool! The accommodation will be on sharing bases for the maximum of 2 persons per room.
Eating & Drinking: 3 meals a day will be provided including drinks, by the end of each day a gathering at one of the local bars and your drinks will be paid for, similar to what is stated with regards to the hotels, it will be difficult to speculate the quality of restaurants that we will come across in our journey, authentic local food what is likely to come across and we will try to be as selective as possible in choosing an appropriate dining facility for you.
As this will be a team experience we will all get to vote before checking into a hotel or dining out in a restaurant.
Price: The total price is AED 6,750 that includes airway tickets to Delhi and from Mumbai, accommodation on sharing basis, 3 meals a day, drinks, airport pick up and drop off, bikes and gas. A fully refundable deposit of AED 3,800 will be required and will be used to cover any expenses incurred due to damages done to the bike.
Guide: My name is Sam, I have biked through India, Nepal and many far eastern countries, I do not do this as a permanent job but rather as a hobby, I will be accompanying you throughout the journey and will look after your well being and make sure that this trip will turn out to be fun and that you come back safe to your home, despite the fact that I do not speak Hindi or any other local Indian language, yet I will be able to guide you on the road and support you with whatever you require to make sure that this trip is something to remember! I will get to know you personally before we hit the road and discuss with you in details what to expect, I have biked through many parts of India and have acquired good knowledge on what it takes to find your way and make this biking trip successful.
Briefing: A briefing session will be conducted to the bikers coming along; date and time will be communicated to you once we decide on the people joining us.
